Madison Geology Museum

This project was part of an assignment for one of my upper level design courses. I was tasked with designing a logo and merchandise for a museum. I chose a geology museum based loosely on a museum I have visited in real life from the region I call home.

I was inspired by crystalline structures and facets found naturally occuring on many minerals. With this in mind I divided up the shape of the state to reflect a gemstone. I chose the colors red and white as they are most commonly representative of Madison due to it being the theme colors of the University of Wisconsin Badgers. I chose the font Futura to mirror the geometric shapes of the state above.
